Christmas Activities for Families

Christmas is a great time for family activities and it will be even better if we can add positive and inspiring Christmas activities for families into the festive period.

Christmas Activities For Families

Practice gratitude

Spend time thinking about all you have to be grateful for and really reflect on it. You can create a gratitude jar to continue to add to throughout the New Year. You can then look at this regularly to focus on all there is to be grateful for.

Send messages of thanks

This is a lovely one to do together, you can send messages of thanks to family, friends, teachers, people in the community and anyone else. Thank them for something they have done for you that year and wish them a Merry Christmas.

Family reflection and celebration

Reflect on the past year and celebrate all the successes you have had as a family. Also talk about what could have gone better and what can be improved. This process is key to improving your life as a family and continuing to grow as individuals and as a family.

Set goals for the New Year

Spend some time setting new goals for the year ahead based on your reflection of the previous year.

  • What do you want to focus on?
  • What do you want to achieve?
  • Are there any new habits will you try?
  • What habits do you want to leave behind?

Enjoy the time together over the holidays and we’d love to hear from you if you try any of these ideas to make your Christmas even more positive and inspiring.
